Making Cold Marriages Hot Again

Writers don't go through years of labor birthing a book so no one will read it. We want our books read and to matter and to make a difference in lives.
I rejoiced this week, the hottest of the year, that We All Married Idiots was hot! Idiots is read, it does matter, and the book is making a difference in lives.
The following reviews showed up on Amazon.com this sweltering week, making me sweat drops of joy!
5.0 out of 5 stars From One "Idiot" to Another "Idiot", July 16, 2013
When I told my husband the name of the this book, he said, "Now that sounds like a good book!" And indeed it is, and one that every married couple should read and discuss together. Elaine Miller gives us that opportunity in her "Change" section. Elaine emphasizes that there are no perfect marriages because there are no perfect people. Couples today are so quick to leave a marriage hoping to find a better one...but they take their same "idiot self" into the next marriage to another "idiot".

I loved this book so much that I included a quote from it in my book Dear God, He's Home! A Woman's Guide to her Stay-at-Home Man, and included it in my recommended reading list. That is the highest recommendation I could give since I only wanted to include books that I knew would help strengthen marriages during a time of transition.

Readers will find themselves changing and discovering that those things that drove them crazy about their spouses are not so bad after all. And who knows...maybe neither spouse will feel like such an idiot after they read and study this book together!

The above was written by a well-respected author. The next from a reader who loves her man and cares about marriages — her own and her friends.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Book, July 17, 2013
This review is from: We All Married Idiots: Three Things You Will Never Change About Your Marriage And Ten Things You Can (Humorous Books | New Releases) (Kindle Edition)
This is the best book I have read in a long time! Not only did it open my eyes to a lot of things in my marriage I laughed everytime i read it and even cried a few times. Though she puts a funny twist on a lot of things it is a very serious book. All too often we give up instead of looking up. I am considering buying this in print to pass on to a few young couples i know. Would make wonderful wedding gifts in my opinion. I would give this one 10 stars!
 ****************
I didn't spend four years of my life writing We All Married Idiots to make money or to stroke my ego. My heart aches for couples to stay together and experience marriage as the blessing God intended. My prayer is that husbands and wives would look at their spouse as a gift to treasure, not an idiot to tolerate.

My hope is to make cold marriages hot again!

Do you know a marriage in trouble? Won't you gift them with We All Married Idiots?

Book reviews are like splashes of serenity on a hot day!

Book Reviews Aren't About an Author's Ego

Celebrating We All Married Idiots 50th five star review on Amazon! I love round numbers. Going for 100!!!

Reviews aren't about stroking this author or padding my bank account. Reviews sell books that help marriages. My heart beats to save marriages and families from the pain of divorce.

If you would review my book, I'd appreciate it. You don't have to be a great writer to create a review. Just speak from your heart how God worked in your life through reading the book.

Thank you to Author Carole Brown who gave me my 50th five star review of We All Married Idiots on her blog (http://sunnebnkwrtr.blogspot.com/2013/07/reviews.html) and on Amazon.com.

Carole wrote:

"Wow. What a wonderful, heart-touching devotional book.

I loved the title the first time I heard it. And now that I've read the book, I can't say enough good about it. The ten valid reasons men and women can change about his/her marriage are thought-provoking. Every chapter was easy to read, understand and practical and was priceless with down-to-earth illustrations, some funny and many sad, but all real in today's world. Every meditation was filled with appropriate scripture. Every reflection was icing on the chapter cakes, the added touch to bring home the truth. Each prayer rich with pleadings a sincere heart can pour out to God. And the suggestions in the Change sections? Brings to mind the words: Go forth and be fruitful. Powerful acts that can and will create results.

I highly recommend this book for ALL marriages. It's never too late to fall in love again. It's never too early to determine to keep that love preeminent in a new marriage. By all means buy this book. By all means share with your family and friends."

Thanking God for the splash of joy 50 five stars bring. Praying for 100 and seeking 51. Will you be my next reviewer? Thank you!!! Click the book above and you'll go directly to Amazon.com where you can leave a review.

"We All Married Idiots" Impacts Healthy Marriages

Two author/speaker friends never intended to read We All Married Idiots. Afterall, there marriages were great. Why fix something that isn't broken? Well Idiots encourages great marriages to a higher level of greatness. Afterall, even the great can fall!

I was blessed when my friends with amazing marriages read We All Married Idiots and messaged me how Idiots impacted their already healthy marriages. I hope you will heed their advice and read We All Married Idiots too.

~Janet Lynn Mitchell, Author of Words Matter wrote:

“What? Me read a book about marriage?” I giggle to myself when given the book. “I’ve recently celebrated my 30th wedding anniversary, I’ve got this down.” Yet, drawn in by Elaine Miller's humor, I immediately discovered that “We all Married Idiots,” including my husband and me!
Elaine’s book, “We all Married Idiots,” is a must read for marriages of all durations. It can be read together as a couple, used in a Bible study, or cherished by a believing spouse who’s ready to give up. It offers the tools to empower your home and marriage to be its best!
In speaking at conferences, I often ask my audience, “If you were choosing a spouse for the one you married, would you have chosen YOU?” Even after 30 years of my own love and commitment, Elaine Miller's book gave me lots to think about and pray about, and offered me great ideas that will cause me to be a better wife and lover. Yes, because she dared to write We All Married Idiots, my husband and our children will all be helped by its words"

Faith Bogdan, Author of Who Are All These Children and Why Are They Calling Me MOM? wrote:

"Even though I wouldn't gravitate toward a marriage book b/c that's not where I need the most help in my life (thank God), I found your book so encouraging! A situation even arose hours later with my husband and your words came back to me: he is being an idiot, not a fool. There is a difference, and I can be thankful he's one and not the other! But more than that, I found I can apply the truths you wrote about in other relationships. In fact, I'm going to use some of your material in my Sunday sermon, "When God's People Disappoint." So helpful!
Just wanted to tell you. I"m sorry I never read it before; I had bought it for two people whom I felt needed it much more than me. God's timing is perfect; I'm glad I discovered it on my bookshelf!"

Book reviews are a splash of serenity on my day. Join my fight and God's fight for marriages. Please. I'd love for any readers to post a review on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Christian Book Distributors, or GoodReads. Thank you!

While you are at it, read and review my friends'excellent books.
