An Advent Calendar That Teaches Children to Pray

I LOVE this advent calendar! Created by my friend Kara Anderson, this treasure is durable and beautiful and ready to be used year after year as your family's new Christmas tradition.

Each number is a pocket. Every day leading up to Christmas your child writes a prayer or a prayer request and places it in the pocket. On Christmas eve remove the prayers, read them, and thank God for His answers. What a wonderful activity that teaches your children to keep their eyes on Christ this Christmas.

To keep the spirit of Christmas going throughout the year, in Kara Anderson's new book, Merryam's Elfun Adventures, your child travels with Merryam and learns what Santa does the other 11 months of the year. Each month teaches a new virtue for children to learn and practice. Over the year children read about kindness, responsibility, love, contentment, patience, honesty, perseverance, joy, self-esteem, compassion, thoughtfulness, faithfulness, and generosity. Merryam's Elfun Adventures includes a Compliment Club, a Kindness Calendar, 12 Scripture verses to memorize, and recipes! Yum!!! This beautifully illustrated, hard-cover book is a treasure you'll read year after year.

Kara Anderson, the author and creator of these products, is a breast-cancer survivor. She realized the shallowness of our Christmas wishes when her own little son sat on Santa's lap and said, "All I want for Christmas if for my mommy to get better."

Kara's passion is to celebrate her life by making a difference in the lives of others.  Please go to www.Merryam.com to read about her, see her other products, and purchase. You'll be glad to meet Kara. She is filled with all those virtues she's teaching! Love her!!!

Let Kara Anderson  splash serenity on your Christmas season!
