Is this what we do with a spouse? A husband or wife makes a mistake and the imperfect performance repeats over and over in our brains until memories of the gold medal days are wiped away?
Gabby, hold your head high! My overweight body and brain sits on the couch and applauds you for the work and sacrifice and dedication and the two gold medals hanging from your neck and gracing your heart and our country.
Husbands and wives, let go of your spouses' flaws and hold on to the gold. When a bad performance replays in your mind, please change the channel and think about "...whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable — if anything is excellent or praiseworthy — think about such things." Phil. 3:8
Then you will be a splash of serenity to your spouse and and your marriage will soar!
