Encouragement, Support, and Inspiration for Military Families! "Called to Serve" Book Give Away!

Are there any families who have it harder than our military families? I don't think so. Deployments, moves, transitions, fear, loneliness, grief, injuries, disabilities, and post-traumatic stress disorder are only a few of the jolts our military families call reality.

Called to Serve written by Lt. Col. Tony and Penny Monetti is a must read for every military family. As the wife of a former Navy officer and the mother of an Air Force JAG, I am aware of the need of this book in the hands and minds of those who sacrifice everything for our freedom.

Lt. Col. Tony Monetti and Penny Monetti know military life. Tony was one of those husbands who came home at night announcing to his Penny and three young children that he must leave in the morning. "I can't tell you where I'll be or how long I'll be gone. It could be a year." Can you imagine getting that eight-hour notice?

Can we who are not in the military even conceive the unique stress our military families endure daily? We can't, but Penny and Tony Monetti can. They've lived it and write about it in their powerful book, Called to Serve. The book ends with 18 pages of resources where our military families can receive further help. What a blessing to every military family!

These men and women sacrifice everything for us. Called to Serve is the Splash of Serenity they'll need to win the war against the destruction of their families. Thank you for helping get this word out. Please repost on your blog or facebook or twitter.

Fantastic Penny and Tony! You have gripped my heart and my prayers for our military families.

If you love our military, please purchase a copy for each military family you know. You can purchase a copy at www.PennyMonetti.com or on www.Amazon.com.

If you would like to enter a book give away to receive a free copy of Called to Serve, please comment to this blog. You can just leave your name, but I'd love to hear who you would like to receive the book and why. A name will be chosen out of my husband's Navy hat. This give away ends on Wednesday, June 8, and will be announced on my blog, June 9, 2011.

CONGRATULATIONS TO ANNE PAYNE--THE WINNER OF THE CALLED TO SERVE GIVEAWAY! May God bless all who read this great book of encouragement for military families.

God bless America and God bless our troops! We love you men and women of the Armed Forces!

  4. I would send it to a young couple who are being stationed in Germany this month. He's Green Beret Special Forces and spends ALOT of time away from home. His wife is one of the most courageous and capable young mother's I know, but can always use encouragement! Thank you for the giveaway.

  5. As a former Marine, my husband would enjoy the book. So would I. We would then pass it on to another military man and his family in our church. Sounds super!
Way to go, Elaine, for supporting our troops.

  7. Elaine,

Thank you for sharing this resource. I'm adding it to my list for my next trip to the book store. Our nephew left on Memorial Day for his 2nd tour. I'm in need of a spiritual blessing of hope and encouragement specific for his tour and how I can pray for him and the rest of our family. :)
